Clifton Diocese is the Catholic diocese covering the West of England and includes the City and County of Bristol, the counties of Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset.

There are 107 parishes within 13 deaneries serving a Catholic population of around 190,000. Around 33,000 people attend Mass around the diocese every weekend. More than 2,000 people are actively involved in Catholic associations in the diocese.

There are 75 Church schools and colleges in the Diocese:  54 maintained primary, 9 maintained secondary, 9 independent, 2 residential special and 1 sixth form college.  Their work is supported by the Diocesan Department for Schools and Colleges.

The diocese was legally established as a charity on 6 May 1934 under the title Clifton Catholic Diocesan Trustees Registered.  Our charity number is 233977.  The administrative offices are based in Bristol.

The Diocese of Gloucester is one of the 44 dioceses of the Church of England covering almost the entire county of Gloucester and parts of Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire. The Children & Young People's Department take responsibility for championing an educational service that encourages Christian faith within schools, communities and parishes. To this end, the department's services are delivered through a network of schools and children and youth groups distributed across the diocese. In total, this amounts to some 116 primary schools, 2 secondary schools, and approximately 50 children and youth groups. As well as aided, controlled and foundation schools there are also five affiliated community secondary schools and a growing network of chaplaincies in higher and further education institutions.
