All Saints' Has Talent
Several students took part in the school talent show on 17th November. The turnout was brilliant and a range of acts performed. Dancers, singers and bands of all ages took to the stage and were judged by five Sixth Form students.
Many students and staff went along to support the students. £100 was raised for charity which is being divided by all house charities; Help for Heroes, CLIC, Cancer Research and Winston’s Wish.
The whole show was expertly planned and managed by AS Performing Arts Sixth Form students at All Saints’ Academy. Louis Taylor organised and managed the event and students Jake Higgins, Connie Breeden, Yolanda Terrera, Hope Read, Phil Mustoe, Jack Mason and Mattie Griffin all helped with staging and publicity.
Students performed a variety of contemporary music including Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’, Avril Lavigne’s ‘Happy Ending’, Christina Perri’s ‘Jar of Hearts’.
The panel of Sixth Form judges decided on a winner, which was angelic dancer Bethany Halford who won £10 cinema voucher. Runner up singer Phoebe Bevan who performed a brilliantly original rendition on Ed Sheeran’s ‘The A Team’ received a £5 cinema voucher.
Mrs Houghton (PA to the Principal) said ‘All the acts were really good, they have obviously worked really hard.’
