All Saints' Academy Cheltenham

Admissions

Applications for new students must be submitted, via the Local Authority.

The Academy will offer 180 places each year. Admission procedures will be in line with the Gloucestershire Co-ordinated Admission Scheme which applies to all maintained schools in the county. If the school is oversubscribed in any year, priority will be given to looked-after children, then to Catholic students (35% or 63 of the places), Anglican students (35% or 63 of the places) and local community (30% or 54 of the places). Within each of these categories, priority will be given to siblings and those living closest to the Academy site.

It should be noted that 92% of students at Christ College currently live in postcodes GL50/51.

Will the Academy admit pupils with statements of Special Educational Needs?

The Academy will be fully inclusive and will cater for children of all abilities. It will have full regard to the SEN code of practice and statutory guidance on inclusion. The Academy’s independent status will not affect parents’ rights to appeal to SEN and Disability Tribunal.

Details for entry into post-16 Education will be made available in November.
